Controlling Spotify from the Windows Taskbar
You don’t have to leave the Spotify window open on your desktop to play your music. If you’re a Windows user (version 7 and higher), you can access playback controls from the Windows task bar after you’ve minimized the Spotify window.
Just hover your mouse over the Spotify item in the taskbar. This displays the thumbnail and controls shown in Figure 10.4. From here you can pause, play, rewind, or fast forward music in your queue.
